Cop Accused of Molesting Mother and Daughter

Allen Hall a veteran Chicago Police officer is accused of molesting minor girl years ago and then attacking her three year old daughter last month.

The mother of the girl said Allen Hall forced her to masturbate him while he was at his home when she was 13 years old.  The girl told her mother what happened, but her mother never contacted authorities. Hall continued to abuse the girl, touching her breast and her groin in exchange for gifts.

Two weeks ago, Allen molested his victim's toddler daughter after giving the victim and her daughter a ride to the currency exchange in the 5100 block of West Madison, Assistant State's Attorney Maura White said. When the mom of the toddler went inside the currency exchange to make a purchase she left her daughter in the car with Allen. Allen then allegedly made the three year old touch his penis.

The mom returned to the car to find her daughter had been moved from the back to the front seat and she noticed that her daughter's demeanor had changed. The little girl told her mom that Hall made her touch his stomach, but later she said he made her touch his "pee pee," said White. The mother contacted police and told detective what Hall did to her and her daughter and Hall was arrested.

 Allen Hall, 60, is a 19-year veteran that works a desk in the 14th District police station and he has an "impeccable" background, his attorney Richard Blass said. Hall is related to both victims, and his defense attorney released a statement saying "We deny the allegations wholeheartedly".

Hall was released on $20,000 bond.

My Meeting with Beatrice Leonard

On September 5, 2013, I traveled to 101 Madison St, Oak Park IL 60302 to meet with Beatrice Leonard about an internship with her company Travelers with Disabilities Having Fun. I arrived at 9AM and was surprised when I was greeted by Ms. Leonard's huge guide dog Gabriel. This is when I learned that Ms. Leonard is visually impaired and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that she traveled locally an abroad to show people that whether you are disabled or not you can still enjoy your adventures. Ms. Leonard gave me an in-depth interview where she inquired about my interests, skills and needs. I told Ms. Leonard that I was a television production student at Kennedy-King College and that I want to learn all aspects of the business but I was most interested in advancing my editing skills. Ms. Leonard and I sat in her office and reviewed footage of the many places that she had traveled to since 2010. She asked me want would I be interested and working on the footage to enhance my editing skills and of course I said YES! Ms. Leonard told me that she would like me to take the footage and edit it. We also discussed how long she has been in the media industry and how she had been unlucky with prior interns. She told me that she would like me to contact her everyday via telephone from Monday to Friday and come to the office two to four times a week to discussed my progress on the footage a assist with other duties and she also told me that would be shooting on location one to two times a month. I am really excited about my new internship and I look forward to working with Ms. Leonard and her crew especially on the shoots that we will do on location.

Listening week.2

This we can assign it was about listening which is kind of ironic. More so because its about listening to yourself because of the kind of week Ive had. I'm glad I did listen when I needed too and I'm glad certain people believed in me enough to listen to me. They know who they are shout out to Carol Ash the best mentor anyone could ever ask for. Today I'm dealing with emotional issue which really test my listening skills. That is where the irony is but I think I can handle it because I listeNed to the right people.

Concept of Communication SELF-TALK

My assignment this week was Self Talk for my Concept of Communication. Which basically means the positive and negative things we say to ourselves during the course of a day or week. For instance like I really need to get back in the gym would be a negative thing or I'm going to have a great day is a positive thing.

I learned a little bit about the things I say to myself from this assignment. But I'm only human and it takes practice to remember to say encouraging things to yourself, and know when you're saying negative things to yourself. Attitude is everything and this concept definitely reinforces that.
