Walking Tour: The Englewood neighborhood in Chicago
The Englewood neighborhood in Chicago is one of the city's oldest. It was first inhabited in the late 19th century and was later annexed by the city. By the 1920s, it was one of the most active shopping district in the country, with the intersection of 63rd and Halsted hosting a number of theaters and stores.
Although it has declined somewhat since then, it is still home to a number of important institituation like Kennedy King College, one of seven chicago City Colleges.
